It can be annoying to lose your work because an incident occurs and you have to end your task without being able to save your work first. The free AutoSave It fixes this problem by monitoring the processes you choose and by regularly saving your work. It runs in the background and automatically saves your work every 60 seconds (that’s the default duration; you can change it if you want to).

It won’t take long to get the AutoSave It installation file off the web and onto your PC, not when it weighs in at less than 1MB. When you run this file, a setup wizard will show up and guide you through all the steps you need to take in order to install the application. During one of these steps you will be asked if you want to install the Incredibar (IB) toolbar, make IB MyStart the homepage and new tab, and make IB MyStart the default search engine. You can opt out if you just want AutoSave It and no additional software.

The interface of AutoSave It displays a list of all the tasks you create. You can easily create tasks by using the Add Task button located in the lower left hand corner; and you can just as easily delete them by clicking the Delete button, which is next to the aforementioned Add Task button. In the lower right hand side you have the Minimize button that sends AutoSave It to the system tray.

AutoSave It automatically saves your work so that when an application crashes and the system freezes, you won't lose your data. Just specify the processes you want the application to monitor, how often you want the application to save your work, and then minimize AutoSave It to the system tray. The application will run in the background and, at a set interval of time (the default is 60 seconds), it will save your work.

You do not have to part with your money to enjoy the functionality AutoSave It has to offer; the application is free.

AutoSave It gets rid of nuisances caused by losing your work and not having the chance to save it.

Pros

Little time and effort goes into getting AutoSave It up and running. Creating tasks is a very simple matter. You can choose how often the application saves your work (60 seconds is the default value). AutoSave It does its work quietly, in the background. AutoSave It is free.

Cons

None that I could think of.
